Can I get the grant on an established home in Victoria?

Not the grant, which is new homes only. But Victoria applies its stamp duty exemption up to $600,000 and concession to $750,000 to established homes as well, so an established buyer still benefits there.

Why this matters

The new versus established choice has a real dollar value in Victoria, because the grant and some duty help only attach to new homes. The federal First Home Guarantee, however, can still be used on an established home.
